Terms of Use

Effective and version date: September 10, 2026

Important: Deductify produces preliminary estimates and evidence-organizing materials. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, engineering, or appraisal advice, and its output is not a signed or filing-ready cost segregation study.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms are an agreement between you and Deductify.ai. By creating an account or using the guided service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement.

2. The service

The service helps collect property facts, organize user-supplied records and photos, identify possible property components, and create a preliminary depreciation-allocation preview. Available features may evolve as the service is maintained.

3. No professional advice or guaranteed tax result

Calculations rely on estimates, heuristics, submitted facts, and automated systems that can be incomplete or wrong. Do not use output as the sole basis for a tax return, election, amended return, accounting-method change, appraisal, financing decision, or legal position. A qualified tax professional must verify basis, classifications, recovery periods, methods, conventions, eligibility, elections, prior depreciation, and filing requirements.

4. Your responsibilities and certification

You are responsible for accurate and complete inputs, avoiding duplicate assets, reviewing every detected item, preserving original source records, and correcting errors. You must have the right to provide all uploaded content. Your final in-product certification is retained with the analysis history.

5. Photos, records, and AI processing

Do not upload people, minors, government identifiers, tax returns containing taxpayer identification numbers, payment-card information, health data, or unrelated personal material. When you affirm the photo and AI consent, you authorize us and our service providers to host and process submitted content to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the requested analysis. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, access another person’s account, upload unlawful or malicious material, interfere with security, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use output to misrepresent that a professional prepared or signed a report.

7. Accounts and security

Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

8. Intellectual property

The service software, branding, and original content are owned by Deductify.ai or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited right to use the service and your exported output for internal tax-planning and professional-review purposes.

9. Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Deductify.ai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost tax benefits, penalties, interest, or decisions based on unverified output. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits apply only to the extent permitted.

10. Suspension, deletion, and changes

We may suspend access needed to protect users, the service, or comply with law. You may export data and request account deletion from the dashboard. Material Terms changes will receive a new version and may require new acceptance.

11. Contact and applicable law

Contact info@deductify.ai. Applicable law governs these Terms, and nothing here waives rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

Optional usage measurement

Help us understand which pages and steps work well. If you allow it, we record visits to public pages, approximate active browsing time, scroll-depth groups, limited workflow events, a random visit identifier, screen-size group, and broad traffic source (such as search or Facebook). We do not record what you type or send your property details, photos, descriptions, full URLs, or payment amounts.

These measurements are kept for up to 30 days. Active time pauses when the tab is hidden, unfocused, or idle for 60 seconds, and is capped at 30 minutes per page view.

For opted-in purchases, the visit is linked to the purchase for up to 30 days to confirm payment and downloads. This is pseudonymous, not anonymous. This first-party workflow measurement does not enable ad purchase measurement.

You can use the full service without allowing this. Read the Privacy Notice.

Usage measurement is not enabled on this deployment.

Optional ad purchase measurement

Help us learn whether our Google ads lead to purchases. If you allow this, we can link a Google ad click from the homepage, calculator, or public report guide to a verified purchase within 28 days. Our measurement records are kept for up to 30 days. We may manually send Google the click identifier, purchase time, amount before tax, currency, an opaque order reference, and your measurement choice.

We do not send your name, email, property details, photos, or tax answers. This does not load a Google tracking script or enable personalized ads. It is separate from usage and public-page analytics, and you can use the full service with it off. Read about this choice.

Ad purchase measurement is not enabled on this deployment.
